TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DEFINITION

The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form.
The Hair Stylist: Sarah Seymour
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the Hair Stylist for the agreed fee.
The Fee: The amount payable by the client to the hair stylist for the services listed above.
The Event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e the wedding) takes place.

Non Event: All services carried out on premises.
The Party: Additional members of the bridal party.

SECURING THE BOOKING OF THE EVENT

The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a deposit to The Hairstylist .
The deposit is £100, this is required to secure the event and is non-refundable.
Arranging a trial without paying the booking fee does not reserve the Hair stylists services for the event.

PAYMENT OF THE EVENT

  • The client named on the booking form shall be held responsible for full and final settlement of the total agreed fee payable to the hairstylist. 

  • Payments will only be accepted by card, via bank transfer or through my website.

  • All trials are to be carried out 2 to 3 months prior to the event, when booking online, a £75 deposit is required, with the remaining balance (£75.00) due upon arrival. Cancellation must be notified seven days prior to your appointment date; otherwise, this deposit is non-refundable.

  • Any outstanding balance payable in relation to the booking of the event shall be paid to the hairstylist no later than one month prior to the date of the event.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLIENT FOR THE EVENT

  • It is the client’s responsibility to make the hairstylist aware of any known allergies or skin sensitivities that they or their bridal party have prior to service. 

  • The hairstylist cannot be held responsible for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client's failure to inform the hairstylist of any known condition. 

  • If the event is directly affected by circumstances beyond the hairstylist control including but not limited to weather conditions or health and safety reasons, where possible the hairstylist will endeavour to rectify such situations, however no compensation will be offered by the hairstylist. It is strongly advised that the client take out wedding or event insurance to cover against these situations.

TRAVEL AND PARKING OF THE EVENT

  • Travel of up to 30 miles from the hairstylists home studio (Brampton, Cambridgeshire) is free of charge, anything outside of this radius would incur a 45p per mile charge.

  •  In circumstances when parking fees apply the client will be required to cover the charges.

  • All UK Mainland travel Event locations exceeding 100 miles radius one way from home studio (Brampton, Cambridgeshire) will require accommodation paid by the client.

  • All Non UK Mainland travel Event locations, accommodation and expenses will be paid by the client.

PHOTOGRAPHY OF THE EVENT

The client agrees that the hairstylist may use any photography / videos for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the hair stylists website and social media pages for any hair service given. If you do not wish to give consent to this use of the work or your image, then you must confirm this by email.

 

CANCELLATIONS OF THE EVENT BY CLIENT

If you make the decision to cancel your event booking, the following charges will apply.  The percentages are the proportions of the total agreed fee, less the deposit for the event. 

  • 12 weeks before the event 30%

  • 08 weeks before the event 40%

  • 06 weeks before the event 50%

  • 04 weeks before the event 100%

CANCELLATIONS OF THE EVENT BY HAIR STYLIST

  • If I cancel the event booking due to severe illness, family emergencies or extreme unforeseen circumstances I will provide a full refund

  • In the event of the above I will try my very best to find a replacement hair stylist

POSTPONEMENT OF THE EVENT

  • If you decide to postpone your event to a future date the hairstylist will endeavour to transfer the booking across to the new date, subject to the hairstylists availability.  

  • The hairstylist shall not be liable for any additional losses incurred by the clients in such circumstances. 

  • If a postponement date is mutually agreed the cancellation fees shall revert to the new event date

 

ALLERGIES

  • Please inform me of any allergies you might have prior to your booking.

GDPR

  • The hairstylist takes your privacy seriously and is fully GDPR compliant. 

  • You have provided the hairstylist with your contact details for correspondence regarding your event. 

  • The hairstylist will only use your personal information to administer your event booking and to provide the services you have requested. 

  • The hairstylist will not pass on or sell your details to any other organisation.

NON EVENT SERVICES

  • All non event services to be carried out at my home studio in Brampton Cambridgeshire unless by prior agreement.

  • For all cutting, Blow dry’s and non-wedding services at my home studio in Brampton Cambridgeshire, 24 hours cancellation notification will be required.

  • Payments can be paid online or by card or cash on the day of the service.

  • Please inform me of any allergies you might have prior to your booking.

  • The client agrees that the hairstylist may use any photography / videos for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the hair stylists website and social media pages for any hair service given.
